A CHTC Group delegation visited Finland April 8 to 11,2017, lead by Vice President Wang Dongxing, who heads the fiber section within the group. CHTC Group is an influential leading edge company in the textiles field and wood based viscose in particular, and contains divisions for engineering, machinery manufacturing and viscose production. China is the world’s biggest viscose producer with almost 4 million tons annual output. The delegation was hosted by KaiCell Fibers top management.
During the visit, mutual cooperation between the companies was further strengthened through the signing of a Collaboration Agreement as a logical follow-up to, and extension of, a Memorandum of Understanding signed in China in October 2016.
“It was a pleasure to meet up in Finland, a country with vast sustainable forest resources, innovative environment and the readiness for collaboration as expressed by your Minister of Agriculture and the Environment. Together with the KaiCell Fibers team we will jointly accelerate Arbron development.” stated Mr. Wang Dongxing and continued, “Arbron will restructure the value chain of textile fibers and help resolve environmental issues with current viscose lines.”
CEO Jukka Kantola added: “We are progressing entirely according to our plan, and we are pleased to have taken this step to strengthen our joint commitment to build the first Arbron plant at the KaiCell Fibers bio-products mill in Paltamo. We benefit from a world-class pool of expertise that now extends all the way from the forests of Finland to the world’s biggest textile market in China. Through this collaboration between fully committed partners we will be able to speed up the process and remain on target for 2021 start-up.”
